An excellent blog I follow is No Dead Guys by American writer and former recording and performing pianist Rhonda Rizzo. There are so many interesting articles on Rhonda’s site, and a few years ago, we exchanged a number of friendly emails discussing a wide range of topics.
A key element of this was a discussion around balancing the need and desire to be creative and hold firmly to a sense of artistic direction and intent, against the need to be able to support yourself and make a living from your work.
