Weekend greetings to you all, and hello to some new subscribers this week. Welcome, and please do get involved!
This week has been very busy, with a new release out. I’m also away this weekend playing at very nice festival in a 1350 year old church in Hexham in the North of England, so I’m a little behind with this weeks’ post. Please forgive me.
It does mean there will be an additional mid-week post this week, a new Deep Dive long-form article for you to get your teeth into…look out for that.
In the meantime, here’s the full video for my new piece ‘Ballade No. 1’
If you’d like to play the piece yourself, you can download the sheet music from:
my website
my Bandcamp page
the Music Notes website
Also, last weeks’ post gives plenty of detail into the nature of the stylistic form of the Ballad(e), which you might interesting, if you missed it first time around.
Loved listening to (and watching you play) Ballade No 1. What a cosy space to play. This transported me back to a weekend in the mountains during my uni year abroad in Lyon - with a Gitane in hand and a glass of Génépi at that blurry point where night drifts towards very early morning.. Nostalgic and haunting…. *sigh*
