I’ll see you in Edinburgh and Glasgow, mate … and I’ll be bringing my missus to the Edinburgh gig.

Thank you for going to all the places you’re going to … people need music, they need your music … so thank you!!!

Great stuff Thomas, look forward to seeing you! That's really great you can make it to both (they'll have quite different feels/atmosphere's!), and I really appreciate your kind words :-)

Like this. Strikes a chord around gigs. Maybe it's me, but I'm increasingly drawn towards the smaller venue. Bands that I really want to see at larger venues generate frantic ticket sales a year in advance, mobbed by bots and scalpers aiming for profit. I find it increasingly frustrating.

Hope to get to at least one venue over the next few weeks. Possibly Wrexham!

Also interesting to see tat you plan to get back to Mull. We'll be there at some point, but we don't yet know when... :-)

That's really interesting to hear about your experience. I do think the way a lot of those are built-up as part of a promo campaign with exclusive access pre-sales is removing some of the magic of it all.

Oh great, yes I guess Wrexham isn't *too* far. Hope to catch you soon.

Yes indeed - the Mull trip is in early-2026 and involves six very small, intimate performances over a Saturday/Sunday held in peoples' homes across the island...all organised by An Tobar where I played previously. It's a lovely idea, and I'm very pleased to be asked to do it. Will just be fingers crossed for the weather/ferry crossings and maybe someone with a 4x4 to drive me around!!

“Because it matters.” Yes! I suspect the more AI consumes music and music distribution, the more essential live performances become.

100% with you on that, I really think people will begin to crave authentic live performances and that sense of what makes something "special"
