@ Quempas: As far as I know this term is used for a certain collection of Christmas carols, published in the 'Quempas-Heft', a DIN A6 booklet containing the melodies and the texts, accompanied by small drawings.
There's also a piano edition with an ad libitum upper voice (my mother used to play the piano, accompanied by my father on violin, and we children either sang or played the recorder).
What a wonderful piece.
Super kind of you, Terry, thank you! Good to hear from you, hope you’re well!
Beautiful. Haven’t heard this tune for ages. Takes me right back…
Thanks, Martin! Pleased you enjoyed it. There’s something lovely about re-hearing a tune you’ve not heard for a while, for sure!
Simply beautiful. It cuts right through the tinsel to the heart of what makes this season worthwhile. Thank you!
Thanks so much, Rhonda! Always appreciated 😊
Lovely arrangement!
Thanks so much! ❤️
Thanks a lot for this one! 🙏
It's one of my all-time favourite christmas songs. Couldn't image how the rework would sound - it's really beautiful.
Looking forward to the release - will listen to it with my Elementary Music Education kids for sure 🥰
What about publishing the sheet music as well?
Thanks so much, Angelika! I’m so glad you liked it, especially as it’s one of your favourites!
That’s fantastic, I hope they enjoy hearing it too.
I reckon there might be some sheet music on the way as well 😉😊
Out of interest, is the term ‘Quempas’ still used to refer to caroling in Germany?
